What to expect in my classes
ASANA CLASS

My Asana classes are Hatha Yoga classes held according to the method of Sri B.K.S. Iyengar and traditions of the Bihar School of Yoga.
That means:
-
Comprehensive explanations of asanas.
-
Gentle and dynamic warm-up before the main part of the class.
-
Intensive work interspersed with moments of deep relaxation.
-
Individual attention even in a group class.
-
Practice on relaxation at the end of the session.
-
The session lasts for one and a half hours.
PRANAYAMA CLASS

Pranayama literally means the control of Prana, or the energy flows in our body. Prana is the life force, and to control it means gaining control over our actions and events in our own lives. Breathing — among the processes in the body that are subject to us — is most closely related to Prana, so Pranayama is breathing techniques.
In Pranayama classes, we learn to breathe, becoming aware of our breath at every moment, gradually mastering various techniques from basic to more complex ones. Pranayama sessions are scheduled on the same day as the Asana class for greater effectiveness of Pranayama. However, you can also attend the Pranayama class separately.
YOGA NIDRA

Nidra translates from Sanskrit as sleep. Yoga Nidra — Yogic sleep — is a practice for deep physical and emotional relaxation. Compared to the millennia-old history of yoga, Yoga Nidra is a relatively young technique. It was introduced by Swami Satyananda Saraswati in the 1950s.
The Yoga Nidra session begins with Shavasana. The teacher's instructions help practitioners consciously and gradually deeply relax the body and enter a state of conscious tranquility on the brink of sleep. From here, working with the subconscious becomes possible, which each practitioner does on their own. The teacher simply serves as a guide.
